ABOUT THE WORK.
It is not a famous place.
Most people would probably drive straight through it without stopping.
But for me, it has become one of the most important places in my life.
It is a small corner of Estonia where my mother lives.
Whenever I go there, something changes.
Time slows down.
The noise fades.
I begin noticing things again.
The way the light moves through the trees.
The smell of the forest after rain.
The changing seasons.
The small details that are easy to miss when life moves too fast.
I never go there with the intention of making photographs.
I go there to breathe.
Yet photographs keep appearing.
Not because I search for them.
Because they find me.
Over the years, this place became a refuge.
A place connected to childhood memories, silence, and the parts of myself that are easiest to lose.
