Constellambs.

It was three in the morning in the French Alps.

The air was cold.

The mountains were silent.

I spent part of the night photographing the stars.

A little later, I pointed my camera at a flock of lambs resting nearby.

Weeks later, I was looking at the photographs when something struck me.

The feeling was exactly the same.

The stars.

The lambs.

The scale could not have been more different.

Yet both filled me with the same sense of wonder.

That realization stayed with me.

We spend a lot of time looking for mystery in distant places.

In space.

In the unknown.

In things that seem larger than ourselves.

But sometimes the same feeling is waiting in a field.

Standing quietly in front of you.

Constellambs grew from that realization.

A reminder that wonder does not care about size.
